‘Fun’ Tomcat fact: Week three is in the books and the boys are looking like they’ve shaken off that pre-season rust.
Another ‘interesting’ fact – scouts have been watching closely as the much talked about ‘Tomcat Algorithm’ has so far been – a ‘draw’?; with some notable ‘misfires’.
That in it self ‘is the rub’ – how does the algorithm account for the return of seasoned veterans like Poppy, or the head scratching multi goal night by Skippy?
I have the answer – the ‘new’ wave of play. What I mean is – and kudos to everyone for falling in line to arrive ready to play and the ball ‘actually’ gets dropped promptly by 6:30. But – let’s take it a step further – Rocky has made it clear the FIRST 16 guys to reply to his email get to play.
Sure, sure – there were some caveats; like guys who paid the whole year, seniority with the club, yada, yada, yada – ‘But’ there it is – it was already reported Skippy had been out 3 weeks in a row (An anomaly) – how/why?
Simple – sources have confirmed he’s replied ‘each’ week to Rocky’s emails. Hence the Tomcat algorithm is now thrown with 16 guys – but maybe not always the ‘same’ 16 guys. It’s made hockey ‘interesting’ and the algorithm has produced not only the trading of riveting ties – but also the much talked about subsequent blow outs.
It’s also already been reported Flower took the coveted ‘Players Award’, but I saw Skippy reading the ‘other’ article and swear he was weeping tears of joy for being acknowledged on his play.
Now let’s dive into ‘responding’ to Rockys email – only to cancel game night.
We gotta remember the first 16 guys to reply to Rocky ‘Play’. When a guy cancels last minute – it may have robbed someone else of a spot. Do I hear talks of ‘beer’ penalties in the future for such a move?
While you’re thinking about this ‘new’ season, replying to emails in order to secure a spot, and how the hell did Skippy get a hat trick – I noticed your Handzonmecac.
