The beer was ready, the nicknames were locked in, and the birthday calendar was suspiciously crowded. Here’s how it went down.
Wearing White
Flower in net, backed by Waldo, Soupy, Bullwinkle, Tonto, Rocky, Sunny, Doc, and Snowpants. Special guest appearance in game two: Doc’s kid (currently operating under provisional nicknames “the Intern” or “MacGyver”—committee still in session). Sunny, being a solid human, sat the final period so father and son could share the floor.
Wearing Black
Bender between the pipes, with Hobbs, Sweets, Foreman, Professor, Animal, Poppy, Skippy, and Chevy.
Game 1
White came out flying and never looked back. Flower was a brick wall—pretty much everything that came his way died a quiet death. Soupy went full predator mode and bagged a hat trick. Dominant win for the white sweaters. Black spent most of the night trying to find the net and mostly finding Flower’s pads instead.
Game 2
Black flipped the script. They jumped out to an early lead and made it stick. White clawed back hard, again on the strength of more Soupy production, and made it a one-goal game at the buzzer. Respectable finish, but the black side of the ledger got the W.
Hardware
Soupy was awarded the TopCat necklace for the night’s work. Hat trick in game one, key tallies in game two, and general chaos creation. Hard to argue.

Birthday Circuit
Snowpants is officially getting old (happy birthday, legend). Soupy’s birthday lands today—the day after the games—so the celebration spilled over. Animal’s turn is Saturday. Beers were properly raised to all three birthday boys. The ice may have been cold, but the toasts were warm.

That’s the tale from the Kapusta. Soupy’s still wearing the necklace, the nickname debate for Doc’s kid continues, and the rest of the crew is already looking forward to the next one. Keep the sticks up and the stories better.
