A two-team night with full benches led to a scoring fest.  On paper, the night started out evenly matched:

Whitecats – Sparky, Cribzie, The Falcon, Snowpants, Soupy, Chevy, Doc, El Chappo and Kamizaze

Blackcats – Sheep Dog, Spinner, The Turk, The Danish, Rocky, Sunny, The Matador, The Rake

Maybe having too many players with nicknames starting with “The” on one team was a bad idea, as by the end of the night, the teams were not evenly matched.  The Whitecats took both games 11-8 and 10-8.  The goals came early and often for the Whitecats, requiring the Blackcats to dig deep and pull off a few scoring flurries just to keep the scores respectful by the final buzzer.

As usual, the beer and good cheer flowed freely on stage afterwards.  Shout outs to Snowpants and Sunny.  Once again, Sunny showed up and took it upon himself to set up the floor for hockey.  President Rocky Comartin asks all Tomcats to do their part…if you show up early, help with set up.  If you didn’t come in time for set-up, then you better be one of the guys taking things down and not just heading to the stage.  It is just good Tomcat-common sense don’t you think?  Snowpants, a very dedicated and involved Tomcat, took time between games to sweep the floor.  Guys like Sunny and Snowpants are what make the Tomcats great!

Watch out for information from Snowpants regarding the Tomcat Christmas party.  Please consider taking part in this great event.  The event is always better when we fill Rock Bottoms with Tomcats and their significant others.
