Another Big Net Night in the books and the crowd at the Kapusta were not left wanting. Scoring was plenty, but also were great saves. Chico and Bender adjusted their tactics to cover the wide swaths of open net and highlight saves occurred every few minutes of play.

Obviously, the big nets favor goal scorers, but even non-goal scorers. Chico pointed out even Rocky popped in couple of goals in game one. The nets really do make a difference!
Doc made his second appearance and the knee is showing great improvement. Doc too popped in a couple of goals as he comes back into form. Rocky noted he enjoyed getting back to a little front-of-the-net action with Doc…”feels like the good ‘ole days,” noted Rocky.
The Matador also made his season debut and the Matty Meter quickly jumped up a few notches (that is the meter that measures the amount of swearing during the game). Matty looked almost in full season form while on the floor.
Both Matador and Chevy came with beer, including two full cases from Chevy! Or should we say “Chevy D?” It was noted that Chevy’s shorts were dropping down below his boxers all night, making the Tomcats wonder if he has started a rap career on the side.
Final Night of Hockey:
December 19th will be the final night. Start making plans to attend as we will have an after party. Retired Tomcats will be asked to attend as well. An idea was put out there for the event. Instead of pizza, should we do a Tomcat Potluck instead? Let Tomcats bring out something to share? Let Rocky know.
Extended Holiday Gathering: Also, is any Tomcat willing to arrange a night at a local bar (maybe the 519 Beerhouse – support Schooley’s new venture??) where Tomcats and significant others can gather for drinks and good times prior to the holiday? Similar to last year’s event at Johnny Shotz (without the bar room brawl ideally)? Also let Rocky know if you can take the ball on this.
