Sparky Shawarma – Sparky, Chevy, Snowpants, Cribzie, Squid, Hollywood and Shackalious
Rocky Poutine – Rocky, Matador, La Bamba, Falcon, Hurricane, Killer and Doc
Stevo Onion Rings – Stevo, Soupy, El Choppo, Anvil, Cue and The Terror
 
So let me say right now, if you did not play last night, you missed a great night of hockey….the Rocky Poutine were plus 4 and the Stevo Onion Rings were plus five going into the last game. The Stevo Onion Rings had 6 points, the Rocky Poutine 4. The Sparky Shawarma could be the spoilers if they could beat the Rocky Poutine. With 32 seconds left, Snowpants blasts a zinger by the Falcon to tie it up 3-3. In previous days, that would not have been good enough for the Rocky Poutine they would have only got one point and the Stevo Onion Rings would have won….but hold on boys and girls, its overtime time. The first over time, remained deadlocked at 1-1. Then in the second over time, The Matador pops in a goal on a gapping net. Rocky Poutine win…Rocky Poutine Win….wow.
Exciting…no other words to explain it. If you did not catch it on TSN, you missed a great night of hockey.
The Turk was there to drop the ball for the opening overtime and the second overtime. Speaking of the Turk, he brought a bottle of a tasty flavoured Vodka for the boys to take a sip of, put her there Turk. Turk also said, he plans to bring a case of beer next week, and let everyone know about his tournamentJune 1.(See below)
Windsor Tomcat call up, Cue, made his Tomcat debut, “I really don’t know what to say, I have toiled in the minors for the past 8 years, I never gave up, I worked hard in Bad Axe with the Bad Axe Bearcats and now here I am, called up, I can’t believe it, this is, the 5th best day of my life (Cue has 4 kids), I am pinching myself, and top it all off I got a Tomcat T-shirt, I cannot freaking believe it”, stated Cue, who held back tears.

Call up Cue played his first Tomcat night an potted 4 goals!

OVERTIME CLARIFIED

From the What The Tomcats Think They Know (WTTTTK) Dec 18, 2018 blog,  overtime is as follows:  In a mini, it is 2- one minute overtime periods.  In a two team game, it is 2 – two minute periods.  If no one scores in the overtime, it remains a tie.  The overtime periods are played 3 on 3.  Which yesterday when you had six players playing per team, you had to deploy some strategy.

The Rake is listed week to week, Tonto is out on the 14 day DL although he was there to drop the ball for the opening ceremonial face-off….and May Day has been shut down for the year.

TOMCAT GOLF TOURNAMENT HAS BEEN SET
 
For those wishing to play this year, you will not have to take off a Friday. The tournament will be held on Saturday June 15.The start time isat 9 a.m.EVERYONE is asked to be there (Where?) by 8a.m.so that the two man teams can be selected. (Top 12 will pick bottom 12) ‘Pick Me Pick Me Hicksee’. Well hold on there little cowboys…the format is a two man scramble and it is my understanding that several of the drives will have to be used by the ’not so strong’ golfer…so, it is a win-win for everyone. Tournament will be held at Sutton Creek again this year, they do treat the Tomcats great there and the facility afterwards is excellent. So mark the date in your calendar and mark the time. Be there on time and for Sim Jim…BE THERE. Snowpants wants to emphasize the fact that guys need to commit in order to secure a playing partner. The teams will be arranged along with their ‘fair’ handicap (as the teams pairings are based on that – somewhat randomly).
ALSO, The Turks four man scramble is to be held at Ambassador on Saturday June 1.This is an excellent tournament and the prize table is very very good. The food back at the Kapusta Now is excellent, so arrange for a four man team and get your money in to the Turk. It is to raise funds to help off set some of the costs for the hall, the hall that we have played hockey in for the past 30 years, so show your support and come out and play.
So let me ask you, do you think you would like to participate in the Tomcat golf tournament and the Turks Kapusta Open, both are fun tournaments and the summer is short, give it some thought and while you are giving it some thought, do you think I can put my Harry Ballsonue.
