Draft night always brings Excitement by Harry Ballsonue
“I’d been friends with Rick Curran, and Rick was Eric’s agent back then, and from the time he was in Junior I was always keeping tabs on him through Rick on what’s going to happen. So when he was drafted by Quebec, or before that, I knew the feelings of the kid and the family that he didn’t want to go there.”
Neil Smith, New York Rangers Former General Manager
I want to touch on the mini last night and the teams and then go into the draft and the teams drafted. Beep’s Honey Badgers took the mini last night, but hockey was very good all around.
Everyone is reminded not to dig for the ball on the goalie.
Two rules you should familiarize yourself with, even though the rule has been around for 25 years and even longer, if you think back to your days in grade school. If the ball goes out and it is Black ball, then Black has to wait till White sets before play can start.
It is the same for after a goal is scored, the other team, has to set before the play can be started. The only time you do not have to wait and set is when it’s ‘Goalie’s Ball’ and the goalie can play it or put it in safety zone, but there you don’t have to wait for the other team to set. I hope you understand it, appreciate it and can apply it.
Teams from the mini last night….

Sheep Dog has been hired as a Minor Minor league Ball Hockey Coach. (See photos below)
“I am grateful for this opportunity, I am thinking when Coach Sea Lion retires or gets fired, I can maybe be considered for his position”. Stated Sheep Dog

When you have a stellar floor hockey career like Sheep Dog …the Tomcats ask you to do other things like work in their minor minor system….here Sheep Dog can be heard yelling ” nothing up the middle “

Sheep Dog has indicated that Doc’s son ..wearing # 33 in this photo is a chip off the old block and future Tomcat material
Snowpants, would like everyone to know that the Tomcat Golf Tournament will be Friday June 17, 2016 this year, so book it off now. Very simple, no silly excuses. Snowpants, the Minister of Golf is looking at booking Sutton Creek for the prestigious event.
While you are going over the tournament teams and thinking who will be this year’s Stanley’s Cup Champion, do you think I could put my Harry Ballosnue.
