Teams
The Matador Bulls Matador (Captain) Sparky, Jingles, Shack, Rocky, Snowpants, Doc and Rake
Tunzie Tornadoes Tunize (Captain) Killer, Stevo, Cirbzie, Eagle, Spinner, Kamikaze and Razor
Beep Bob Cats Beep (Captain) Hollywood, The Turk, Soupy, Chevy, Lovie, Falcon and May Day
Great night of hockey and it was close, with The Matador Bulls needing to win their final game to take the Mini and they did just that with authority, beating out the Tunzie Tornadoes by a score of 4-0, taking the Mini. All four teams had 4 points, but the Bulls managed to score more…and took it all. “A great feeling, I can assure you, winning tonight….it means a great deal not just to me, but everyone one the Bulls and the hard effort they all put in tonight”, indicated Team Captain, The Matador.
3 Star Selection, as selected by La Bamba the 3rd star, # 44 Spinner, the second star # 10 the Matador and the first star #45, Shack.
Falcon wanted to thank two players, “on two separate plays, both, Spinner and the Eagle had a chance to whack at a semi lose ball that was clinging on to me, but they didn’t, I wanted to thank them for that” indicated the Falcon
There was a pair of new shoes out there last night……
Soupy gets a ‘Thanks’ for bringing a big container of ‘Bar Mix’ for the boys to enjoy with their beer.
Soupy also gets mention for bringing a 12 pack for his fine, for calling the Sea Lion, ‘Sheep Dog’ last week, thanks for paying up on the fine Soupy.
I also want to mention that The Eagle came out to hone his skills for the tournament, a one time main stay of the Tomcats, it was great to see him out there and the fans loved seeing him dipsy doodle and make his sweet passes.
On a side note, Tunzie and the Matador, wearing ‘Non Tomcat’ matching outfits last night, can you say ‘ Siegfried and Roy’? what are these two Tomcats doing, raising White Siberian tigers?

Matador and Tunize raising Seberian white tigers in their basements …”yesss …we have six right now …” Said a grinning Matador …” Louis …is our best one ….but Victor, Sammy and Vince are coming along …..” Matador said.
I wanted to go over the drafted teams again, so here they are again:
Doc’s Devils: Doc, Shack, Soupy, Spinner, Crow, Rocky, Hicksee, Skippy, Killer…….. I like this team a great deal, Crow can win the tournament on his own, but throw in Soupy and Spinner and Rocky Wow! Hicksee and Killer can buzz, they can make the opponents nervous. But here is a difference maker. Shack. Great play maker, will only help this squad get into the finals and probably win, if they get goaltending. Goaltending wins Championships.
Kamikaze Kanucks: Kamikaze, Tunzie, Sunny, Sparky, Chico, Hurricane, La Bamba, The Green Giant and Bearcat…….This is a very solid team. Tunzie is well on his way to being a number one center with the Tomcats, throw in franchise player Sunny and stellar D-Man Chico and Sparky, well, incredible. The difference maker here is the Green Giant. Very hockey knowledgably and a great hockey mind. I see them very easily making it into the final, if they get goaltending. Goaltending wins Championships.
Sheep Dog Pound: Sheep Dog, Cribzie, Snowpants, Flintstone, Lovie, Bulldog, Beep, Razor and Sheep Dog……..How did Sheepie get all stars, Lovie, Cribzie, Snowpants, Beep and Razor on all one team? Did the other 3 Captains fall asleep and he just wrote them in on his sheet? Then you throw in the likes of Junior and Flintstone on D how are you going to get by that tantrum and they also have Bulldog…wow, impressive, I see them in the finals, in fact, why play the tournament, just award them the contest now.
The Rakecoons: The Rake, Jingles, Falcon, Stevo, Eagle, Hollywood, Chevy, Zaba and May Day…….Chevy and Falcon are proven Stanley’s Cup winners year after year after year. Teams are built around the Eagle….Try stopping one of Jingles shots….and throw in ‘Sweet Hands’ Stevo, with Hollywood and May Day on D…..The other teams should be thinking ‘why are we going to even play…these guys are way too good for us’.
Bottom line, all four teams are very even, if I have to give an edge right now and predict a final two, Devil’s vs. the Kanucks. But they need to play it out, to see who the winner will be.
